A home in a village near Sudbury fell victim of a distraction burglary after having money stolen from a footstool.
The incident happened in a house in Workhouse Green in Little Cornard, close to Sudbury, just after 7.20pm on Monday, October 28.
An unknown person rung the doorbell at the front of the property, and when a family member opened the door, there was no one there.
While the family member opened the door, a man in a brown coat entered the home through an unlocked but closed patio door and stole money from a footstool.
Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference number 37/61500/24.
