A high street shop is reopening less than 24 hours after a car crashed through its shop front.

New Look, in North Street, in Sudbury, is set to reopen at 3pm following the crash on Friday evening.

A New Look spokesperson, who witnessed the incident, said: "I heard a loud noise, turned around and the car was in the shop front.

"I feel lucky that no one was hurt, customers, staff or pedestrians.

"It's all a bit of a shock, but today the shop will reopen and has been made safe."

Police attended the scene and confirmed no one was seriously injured as a result of the crash.

The road remained open while recovery took place.
