'Opening soon' signs have appeared in the window of a former building society as a new retailer looks set to move in. 

The former Suffolk Building Society building at 10 Market Hill in Sudbury is being kitted out to reopen as a new store. 

Signs in the window of the shop display the words 'Gifts Gallery' and 'opening soon'. 

Balloons have been attached around the front of the building, which sits between Savers and Costa, while people were seen inside and outside working to get it ready. 

According to Companies House, Gifts Gallery Ltd was given a certificate of incorporation on May 2. 

Its director is Mr Muhammad Dost and its registered address is 10 Market Hill, Sudbury. 

This comes after Suffolk Building Society moved from its 10 Market Hill location to a larger premises at 98 North Street - the former Mountain Warehouse shop - on Wednesday, February 21.

It is not yet clear when the new Gifts Gallery shop will open its doors to the public.
