Officers have seized a knife, suspected drugs and some knuckle dusters.
Haverhill police were patrolling the town on Saturday night when they had reason to stop a car due to it being seen in suspicious circumstances.
The driver of the vehicle was detained and a search of the car was carried out.
Suspected drugs were found by officers as well as a pair of knuckle dusters.
A spokesman for the police force said several stop and searches took place over the weekend with a knife also seized from a man "clearly under the influence of drugs".
Increased breath tests have been carried out over the weekend and one driver was tested for driving while under the influence of drugs, however, all were negative.
The spokesman said: "Taking weapons off the streets of Haverhill is something we are very proud of, hence sharing this work as part of our efforts to make Haverhill an even safer place to live, work, travel and invest in."
