A driver has been arrested following a crash that injured a cyclist and closed a road in both directions.
Emergency services were called to Rodbridge Hill in Long Melford at about 7.55pm on Friday.
A Suffolk police spokesman said officers were called to reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a car.
The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car, a Citroen C4, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, failure to stop and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
