Drivers will be left facing a 22-mile diversion route while a road on the outskirts of a Suffolk town is closed.
Middleton Road which connects Sudbury and Henny will be closed from 8am to 4pm on Wednesday, June 5.
While the road is closed Gigaclear will be carrying out important works in the area.
The Suffolk County Council website states the official diversion route is 22 miles long.
The diversion route includes A roads because some vehicles like HGVs cannot go down smaller roads that others would use as shortcuts.
It comes as Windmill Hill in Long Melford will be closed on Sunday for urgent works by UK Power Networks.
The road that connects Long Melford and Glemsford will be closed from 9.30am and 4pm.
