A pair of houses could be built on land in front of a home in a village if plans before a council are given the green light.
A full planning application has been submitted to Babergh District Council for land at Greenlawns in Tye Green, Glemsford, near Sudbury.
It proposes two single storey homes with associated parking are built on the 0.19 hectares of land associated with the existing dwelling, which would be retained.
The homes would be accessed via the existing driveway from the road.
Two parking spaces would be created for each new house, with parking for Greenlawns retained.
A planning document before Babergh District Council stated: "The proposed development would demonstrate satisfactory provision of amenity, design, environment and highway criteria and is of no material detriment to the character of this part of Glemsford and its surroundings."
It continued: "The proposal seeks to enhance the appearance and visual amenity of the area whilst providing modern and efficient homes for the buyers long term future, making best use of this under-used ‘brown-field’ site."
