Drivers are being warned of a 22-mile diversion route while emergency roadworks take place in a village.
The B1115 Humble Green in Little Waldingfield, near Sudbury, will be closed between 10am and 3pm today.
While the road is shut, emergency road repairs will be carried out by Suffolk Highways.
According to Suffolk County Council the official diversion route is 22 miles long.
The diversion route is long as it takes drivers along A roads because some vehicles like HGVs cannot go down smaller roads that others would use as shortcuts.
The diversion is as follows: B1115, A1141, A1071, A134, B1115 and vice versa.
It comes after a stretch of the road was closed earlier this month for urgent works.
Drivers were also left facing a 21-mile diversion route while the works were carried out.
