The roof of the property was the main area affected by the flames.
Crews from Sudbury, Long Melford, Clare, Hadleigh, Haverhill and others from Essex tackled the blaze, and used hose reel jets.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that no injuries have been reported.
While the fire was doused by around 6.10pm, several crews remained on the site for several more hours to check for hot spots and ensure the area was safe.
