Suffolk flood warnings remain in place after Storm Ciarán

The Environment Agency has issued several flood warnings for Suffolk, including along the River Stour between Boxstead to Dedham. 

Initially, this warning was issued on Friday, November 3, with residents in the area encouraged to move their belongings to higher ground and turn off their water, gas and electricity.

This remains in place, along with a warning for areas along the banks of the River Waveney, between Diss and Bungay.

A flood warning means that the area is expected to flood, and is an escalation of a flood alert. 

Flood alerts have also been issued for Sudbury, Mount Bures, Wissington and Nayland, and along the Little Ouse River from Thetford to Woolpit.

The Environment Agency has issued some advice and encouraged those living in the area to avoid driving through deep puddles and to keep alert. 

There is no indication how long the warning will be in place, but the area is being monitored by the Environment Agency.
