Some schools across Suffolk remain closed today as a result of Storm Ciarán.
More than 90 schools closed on Thursday due to the storm, and on Friday a decision has been taken to keep four schools shut today in the interest of safety for students and staff.
The list of schools closed today is:
- Hundon Community Primary School
- Kersey Church of England Primary School
- Sir Robert Hitcham Church of England Voluntary Aided School, Debenham
- Worlingworth Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
A number of schools in Ipswich made the decision to close yesterday after National Highways announced that the Orwell Bridge would be shut during the storm.
Parts of Suffolk was hit by 70mph winds on Thursday as Storm Ciarán swept across the county.
There are 14 flood alerts still in place in Suffolk as of Friday morning.
