Here are seven fantastic businesses that opened in 2022.

Damson & Wilde, Bury St Edmunds

Damson & Wilde opened in June and has quickly become a very popular lunch and dinner destination for food lovers.

Serving Mediterranean flavours, this restaurant provides diners with "fresh and healthy ingredients" but isn't afraid of a "sprinkle of naughtiness", our review said.

The opening night proved to be a hit with locals with Debroah saying: "It went really, really well and there was loads of people from Walton who came to see what the new place was like.

"It was really successful and I was moved by how many people turned out for us and it was a really good atmosphere."

The Gaol Lane wine bar was opened by the mayor of Sudbury and the shop was packed out with people wanting to get a taste of the wide selection of wines on offer.
