Framlingham star Ed Sheeran has shared a picture of his next on-screen role - a character on The Simpsons.
Ed posted a picture of his character Brendan on Instagram last night and wrote: “This year continues to be equally surreal and amazing. Watch out for this one, me and Lisa have a whole thing going on x”.
Ed’s character, who will feature in a musical-themed episode, manages to impress Lisa Simpson with his talent.
Executive producer Al Jean told news website Entertainment Weekly that Ed Sheeran recorded his part over the phone from England.
The episode will be part of the 29th season of The Simpsons which will air in October.
The news follows his recently unveiled cameo in the new series of Game Of Thrones, which divided opinion among the show’s loyal fans.
His latest plans to turn yellow have received positive feedback with his fans so far, with one replying: “Oh my! I gave up The Simpsons a long time ago, but I can’t miss my favourite redhead turned yellow.”
Sheeran’s expanding foray onto the small screen adds to a successful year for the 26-year-old, who has dominated the album charts this year with his third album, Divide, and last month headlined the Glastonbury Festival.
