A motorcyclist has been airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital with serious injuries after a crash which left the A134 near Sudbury closed.
Police were called to the crash involving a motorcyclist and a car near Assington at about 1.15pm on Friday, Suffolk police said.
Officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service, with the air ambulance also in attendance.
A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed the motorcyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge by air ambulance with potentially serious injuries.
The spokesman added one other person suffered potentially serious injuries in the crash.
Drivers were urged to find alternative routes while the road was shut.
Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police, quoting CAD 203 of June 17.
