A talented welder has achieved his dream after taking the plunge and quitting his full-time job so that he can run his own business.
Billy Moulton Day, from Sudbury, has seen his business Rusty Creations UK thrive since it was first set up in 2017.
Since setting up his business Mr Moulton Day has created work for a number of businesses including a staggering Remembrance-themed piece.
The business started after Mr Moulton Day attended an evening welding course in 2017 after he created a reindeer out of several horsehoes.
He started Rusty Creations alongside his former job as a welder which he has recently given up so that he can put all of his efforts into his business.
Speaking about going into his business full-time, Mr Moulton Day said: "I was spending all the extra time I had outside my full-time welding job to spend on Rusty Creations and that meant I had no family time, so something had to give."
Mr Moulton Day said he "has not looked back since" he decided to quit his job and run Rusty Creations full time.
Speaking previously, Mr Moulton Day, who plays cricket for Sudbury Cricket Club, said some of the larger pieces can take up to anywhere between 80-200 hours to complete.
In 2021 he set himself a goal of running the business full-time.
He said: "My end goal is ideally to set this up as a full-time business and take on more bigger sculptures and artwork pieces, potentially for property developers or companies if they have big launch shows and need commercial artwork."
