A Suffolk garden centre is celebrating after being named one of the best in the country.
Perrywood in Sudbury has recognised as the best indoor lifestyle department in the UK at the National Garden Centre Association awards.
It was also named the 32nd best garden centre in the country moving up from 40 in 2023.
Simon Bourne, retail director at Perrywood said: "This amazing achievement is thanks to our team’s hard work, passion, and dedication.”
In December plans were revealed to build a new garden centre at the Perrywood site.
Perrywood Garden Centre has submitted an application that would see a brand new 3,750 square metre garden centre and restaurant built.
If the plans are given the green light by Babergh District Council, part of the existing garden centre off the A134 will be demolished and extended, according to a supporting statement.
It comes after Perrywood was granted permission to build a brand new garden centre in June 2021.
