Everybody loves a trip to the pub, but there is nothing better than when the venue also has a stunning view.

Suffolk is full of pubs that overlook the rolling countryside, farmland, rivers and out to sea, making it a great place to enjoy one of the UK's most-loved leisure activities.

Here are five watering holes which have beautiful views in our county.

1. Lord Nelson, Southwold

Visit on a busy, sunny weekend and you will find people standing outside of the Lord Nelson pub in Southwold.

The East Street boozer says it prides itself on being the 'drinking pub' of the town, with its popularity rising thanks to its close proximity to the seafront.

While the benches outside can soon fill up, people can still be found admiring the delightful Suffolk coast.

2. The Plough, Hundon

The recently reopened pub has always been loved for the views from its garden.

Overlooking the best the Suffolk countryside has to offer, The Hundon Plough offers an extensive menu to customers looking to enjoy a feast.

Delicious food, delightful hotel rooms and even better views, what is not to love?
